Governance is a difficult and complex occupation. It demands skill and openness to consideration of the ideas of others. At this time in history, while the shifting sands of politics are impeding the navigation of selecting, nominating, and voting on candidates for mid-term elections, it is important to discover whether those candidates are flexible enough to understand that there is more than one way to look at almost every subject up for discussion.
There are so many reasons to say “No” in today’s world. Climate change, environmental issues, abortion, guns in society, immigration both illegal and legal, education, national history and governance, human biology and gender issues, money and so it goes. For each of these topics, and many more, there is also the opportunity to say, “But ….”
