The Cares Committee of the Lyndonville branch of the North Country Federal Credit Union awarded a Community Giving Grant of $300 to Kingdom East Afterschool Programs (KEAP).
Their generous support facilitated fencing bouts for two Kingdom East School district 21C after school sites (Concord and Miller’s Run) and provided student transportation for KEAP middle school field trips to Kingdom Trails and Daniel’s Pond this spring.
North Country’s grant program offers funding to non-profit organizations for events, programs and projects that provide individuals with the tools and opportunities they need to overcome challenges and become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community. Grant requests are carefully reviewed and discussed by our employee-run North Country Cares Committee, Board of Directors and Branch Managers – depending on the particular request.
Grant funding preference is given to programs or organizations in northern Vermont that address:
• Poverty, Homelessness, Hunger
• Health, Wellness, Disability, Elderly
• Youth, Education
• Animal Welfare
• Community, Arts, Culture, Social Responsibility
