The bleating of sheep. The striking of an anvil. The rhythmic hum of a handsaw. The crackling from the fire pits. The scuffle of busy feet on the roadways.
These may not be noises we traditionally hear at Christmas time in the Northeast Kingdom, but for first century Bethlehem, they were quite normal. But on one Bethlehem night, something seemed different. Anticipation filled the air. Could it really be happening? Could this be the moment so many have longed for?
Come experience the anticipation for yourself as you register for the census and join in with other visitors in the little town of Bethlehem. Interact with some of the local townspeople and find out what really is different about this night.
Night in Bethlehem is a free family-friendly Christmas event for all ages, co-presented by Lyndon Bible Church and Union Baptist Church. Your senses will come alive as you walk through and become a part of the Christmas Story narrative.
