Readers and writers of all ages are invited to the Davies Memorial Library in Waterford on April 3 for a reading and Q&A with Barnet author Robin Kristoff.

At 6:30 p.m. she’ll begin reading from her fantasy novel "The Empire’s Orphans," and then lead a discussion with readers and aspiring writers on the process of creating the novel and advice for writers working on their own projects.

Refreshments will be provided.

"The Empire’s Orphans," told through the voices of a conqueror’s son and a conquered lord’s daughter, follows two young people desperately trying to separate truth from lies in a country simmering with national tension.

The novel is Kristoff’s second release, following her debut, "Star Thief."

Kristoff’s novels are available locally at the Little Village Toy & Bookshop in Littleton and Green Mountain Books & Prints in Lyndonville, as well as online. More information is available at robinkristoff.com.
